Avoid unnecessary overstretching by having frequently used objects close to hand. Ensure you have what you use often nearby such as stapler, paperclips, phone, etc so that you are not constantly having to overstretch to reach them. Consider using a headset if you are on the phone for a large part of your day or use speaker phone if possible. Avoid holding a phone between your cheek and shoulder or you’ll have neck and shoulder pain in no time! Take regular breaks Sitting for long periods of time can reduce blood flow and cause muscle fatigue. To prevent that, take frequent breaks where you move around the office, ideally a few minutes every 30 minutes. As a minimum, try to move every hour.
