On Pause...! Hello and welcome! The other day I was out shopping. I overheard a conversation between a frustrated customer and a shop assistant. I was astounded not only by the anger expressed by the customer but by the calm and composure of the shop assistant. There are times and certain situations or conversations whether it be at home, work or just out and about which can cause us to react even without thinking, perhaps leading to a response fuelled by anger and frustration. What if you chose to pause before responding? How could you use this pause? The pause is powerful and could be used to just slow down and calm your reaction. For me, pausing and taking a deep breath is calming and helps me to consider my options before responding to a challenging situation or conversation. How could you create the best response to a challenging situation?
